			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This week, I also finished a whole bottle of Meiji&#8217;s chocolate milk, started on my Cadbury&#8217;s chocolate bar and developed two ulcers. (Well, the one on my lower inner lip only came out after the one on the roof of my mouth healed.) You&#8217;d think that having ulcers in my mouth would prevent me from bingeing. *snorts*laughs*koffs*</p>
<p>Did not manage to do <i>any</i> crunches this week &gt;.&lt; But there is an improvment in what I&#8217;m eating (Less egg bingeing this week, for instance. My grandmother&#8217;s back from her holiday! So I&#8217;m getting nice, homecooked food &lt;3) There was a holiday this week (Good Friday), so that was spent stuffing our faces at a friend&#8217;s place. Boy, that was some good food. Nom nom nom.</p>
<p>Bought a swimsuit (no, I will not model it. I really don&#8217;t want anyone&#8217;s eyes to bleed. <strike>Disclaimer: We take no responsiblity!</strike>) I also bought a bag to use when I go swimming that my sis says is not worth the price I paid for&#8230; she enjoys doing that to me. So, shall arrange with E as to when she can/wants to go swimming, although I can only make after next week, because I need to rush my report. *excuses, excuses*</p>
<p>I wonder if I should cut down on the sugar I put in my tea at work. I usually put in three tablespoons of sugar. Yeah, that&#8217;s a lot, and my cup is a regular sized Starbucks thermos like cup.</p>
<p>At this rate, I&#8217;m not even sure if I can fit into my pants by the <i>end of the year</i> let alone June. D:</p>

<p>Stand with hands behind head, feet together. Lift left leg to side about a foot as you simultaneously bend upper body to left. Pause and return to start. Do 8 to 10 reps. Switch sides and repeat.</p>
<p>Make it easier: Rest right hand on a bench or chair for support and place left hand behind head.</p>
<p>Make it harder: Tie an exercise band in a loop and place it around both ankles to provide resistance as you lift leg.</p>
<p><b>Main Move: Dipping Toes</b><br />
<i>Best for abs; also tones thighs</i></p>
<p>Sitting on a bench or chair, lean back and lift knees toward chest, hands lightly on seat for balance. With abs pulled in and torso lifted, slowly lower both feet together as close as you can to ground without touching. Pause, then use abs to pull knees back up to start. Repeat 20 times.</p>
<p>Make it easier: Alternate lowering just one foot at a time.</p>
<p>Make it harder: Extend arms in front of you while lowering one or both legs.</p>
<p><b>Main Move: Plank Extension</b><br />
<i>Best for butt; also tones abs</i></p>
<p>Place hands on seat of a bench or chair and walk legs back until body forms a straight line from head to heels with wrists beneath shoulders. Using abs to prevent back from sagging, raise right leg 6 to 12 inches. Pause and lower. Do 5 times, then switch sides.</p>
<p>Make it easier: Get down on hands and knees, then extend right leg behind you. Lift and lower 5 times, then switch legs.</p>
<p>Make it harder: Do the move on ground in full push-up position, balancing on hands and toes.</p>
<p><b>Main Move: Warrior 3 to Stork</b><br />
<i>Best for thighs; also tones butt, abs</i></p>
<p>Begin with arms overhead, palms facing in, right knee bent slightly, and left foot behind you so only toes touch ground. Raise left leg to about hip height and lower torso and arms until about parallel to ground (warrior), then use abs to stand up, raising left knee in front of you without touching ground (stork). Return to warrior pose without left foot touching ground. Do 8 to 10 reps; then switch sides.</p>
<p>Make it easier: Don&#8217;t hinge forward as far and lift back leg only halfway up to hip level. You can also rest one hand on back of bench or chair for balance.</p>
<p>Make it harder: With body hinged forward, do 8 tiny pulses, lifting and lowering back leg just an inch.</p>

<p>The pants that I&#8217;m using as a guage is telling me that nothing has changed XD (I wear this pair often enough that any changes would be obvious immediately) That&#8217;s another suckage.</p>
<p>Much as I talk about <i>Get with the program</i>, I haven&#8217;t really gotten with the program yet yet. *koffs* I&#8217;m just adding some changes to my daily life. I&#8217;ve been climbing the steps almost every day. If I take the dog down for his walk, we both take the steps up. (My poor doggy) I&#8217;m trying to do my crunches every day, if I can. (<u>The Sims 2</u> has done a really good job of distracting me lately. )</p>
<p>Looking at the food I&#8217;ve eaten (under the cut link), I&#8217;m quite disgusted with myself. &gt;.&lt; I think the amount of eggs that I took last week was a bit over the top. Although, last week was somewhat of an anomoly, as both my grandmother and mother were out of the country, and I had to fend for myself. *koffs* Usually, I don&#8217;t cook, so my sister and I sized this opportunity to cook stuff. (As spoken by people who don&#8217;t usually have to cook). XD And I like eggs, and they happen to be easy to cook&#8230; so, yeah. </p>

<p>So, I cooked for dinner. It was steamed egg. <p>Except, I made a huge bowl with 3 eggs (and they were all double yolks -_- I don&#8217;t know what eggs we bought, but in the whole tray of <i>30</i>, I&#8217;ve only came across <i>one</i> with a single yolk), pre-made chicken broth, golden mushroom, salt, pepper, and sugar (which I think I added too much, because the thing was quite sweet). There has got to be a more healthier version. I was only cooking for me&#8230; and it was the first attempt, so I was kinda following the recipe.</p>
<p>Also, because my sister made them. I also had pancakes at about 12am. -_-</p>
<p>Did my 30 sit ups tonight. They count, right?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve always felt that one shouldn&#8217;t be too hung up on how much you weigh and how you look. (Don&#8217;t put to much weight on weight so to <strike>pun</strike> speak)</p>
<p>Ever since I was young, I&#8217;ve always been on the heavy side. My family (my mother, in particular) will keep telling me to try to lose weight, and to not eat so much. Let me tell you, I <i>love</i> to eat. I find much pleasure in eating (almost as much as I find pleasure in reading, but that&#8217;s a different story). And I&#8217;m not an inactive couch potato too. I used to play mini-tennis in primary school, was in my school&#8217;s competitive netball team (and two years of NCC) in Secondary school (plus weekly swimming lessons). It was when I was in Junior College and Polytechnic that my physical activies decreased (and even then, I was playing basketball with the neighbourhood kids and was also taking dance lessons on and off). I like to excercise, I&#8217;m just too damn lazy to do so. *sheepish grin* When I started working, I took aerobics and could also afford dance classes *misses dancing*</p>
<p>Even when I was working, the ladies in the office would also ask me to lose weight so I can find a boyfriend. My general response to that insulting (although well-meaning) advice was that if I really lose weight to find a boyfriend, I don&#8217;t think I will ever trust or have confidence in the relationship.</p>
<p>I mean, if I can&#8217;t find someone to like me when I&#8217;m not all slim and fashionable, how will I trust that person to stay with me when I&#8217;m old and greying? (Of course, I&#8217;m hoping my taste in men is not that bad XD)</p>
<p>&#8230; As we go totally off tangent.</p>
<p>But I guess that&#8217;s why Bob Greene&#8217;s book: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Get-Program-Getting-Emotional-Well-Being/dp/B000F3T4LS/ref=pd_bbs_6?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1204526845&amp;sr=8-6">Get with the Programe</a> suits me. It doesn&#8217;t professes any short cuts to weight loss, and it goes deeper than just telling you how to lose weight. I read the reviews on Amazon, and they&#8217;re mostly positive reviews that I agree with. Have already finished one reading of the book, and am trying to incorporate what he says into my daily life <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Basically, what Bob Greene/GWTP says is what everyone knows. Exercise more, eat better, and you&#8217;ll lose weight. It also delves into stuff like emotional eating, and trying to get you (in this case, me) to discover what motivates me to eat, why I&#8217;m losing weight, why I haven&#8217;t been able to do so in the past etc. It doesn&#8217;t tell you that you can lose 10 kilos in 1 month. (I&#8217;ve always been skeptical of quick weight loss programmes, and weight loss companies. It&#8217;s just that I&#8217;ve always thought that even you do lose the weight, it&#8217;s just going to come back if you don&#8217;t change your lifestyle. (Which was what caused the weight gain in the first place&#8230; unless you have a medical condition or something, but that&#8217;s not the deal here))</p>
<p>GWTP is a book with four parts/phases. Phase One is all about finding out the emotional motivation behind the weight gain/loss, and adding simple exercises (crunches, and some stretching exercises) in your life. Phase One is all about drinking enough water, exercising a little every day, doing stretches, and making sure that you know why you&#8217;re doing what you&#8217;re doing. (tralalala) It doesn&#8217;t have a set timing, you move on only when you feel ready.</p>
<p>So far, I&#8217;m doing about 30 sit ups a night, but may have to change it to suit Phase One&#8217;s &#8220;requirments&#8221;. The suggested period is 3 weeks for Phase One before you go on to the next phase.</p>
<p>Now all I have to do is to actually <i>get with the program</i> XD</p>
